Kevin Dzi: Director – Department of Community and Public Health

Mr. Dzi Kevin Tanyi Jong hails from Cameroon and has expertise in the field of Microbiology, Epidemiology and Statistical data analysis. He also has a strong passion for entrepreneurship and very passionate in organising activities or working on projects that improve the quality of life of persons living in both developed and developing countries. Mr. Dzi Kevin has worked in Redeem Biomedical system Buea Cameroon, a public health consultancy firm as a research assistant and carried out several activities in that capacity that improved the health of the populations in Buea. He also worked as a surveyor during the Poliomyelitis eradication campaign in Cameroon where he visited many remote communities to investigate the coverage of the vaccination campaign in these communities and sensitised the public about the importance of vaccination. His role as a research assistant in the Podoconiosis project, a project carried out by Research Foundation for Tropical Diseases Buea in collaboration with the Welcome trust also enabled him to collect data about the disease in the North west region of Cameroon as well as educate the population on how they could manage the infection and more importantly prevent it.
Mr. Dzi Kevin is an alumnus of University of Buea (UB), Cameroon and Ghent University (UGent), Belgium. During his studies at UB he was involved in several health projects to improve the health of students and staff. In UGent, Mr. Dzi Kevin held the post of International student’s association President for 2years where he organized several activities that improved the welfare of international students studying at UGent and enabled them to enjoy their learning environment. Mr. Dzi Kevin joined ACP DYSS in 2018 and is currently working in the department of Community and Public Health.
