African Caribbean Pacific – Diaspora Youth Support Services (ACP DYSS)

About Us

The African Caribbean Pacific Diaspora Youth Support Services (ACP DYSS) is a Not-for-Profit association of Diaspora youth in Europe from the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of countries. ACP DYSS is registered under the Flemish Federation of Social Organizations (Federatie van Zelf Organizaties in Vlaanderen). Its initiative and core objective is to promote collective self-realization on Pan Africanism effort to ensure sustainable growth and solutions in ACP countries by employing its unique approach of re-education and working together. This would involve building the capacity of ACP Diaspora youth for professional excellence, and development of ACP home countries in partnership with ACP country-based youth organisations.

Vision

The vision of ACP DYSS is to be the conduit and development catalyst of ACP Grassroot and Diaspora youth across the globe. ACP DYSS is intent on building an ACP Diaspora youth community who are professional experts, effectively working together with ACP Grassroot youth, youth organisations, CSOs and other organisations from ACP member countries towards achieving sustainable development.

Mission

Our mission is to engage the ACP Grassroot and Diaspora youth across the globe in the development of ACP countries through re-education and working together, employing face-to-face and virtual presentations, helping these youth to participate and contribute towards their advancement in life. Our aim is to create an environment of networking and collaboration among Grassroot and Diaspora youth of ACP regions. This in-turn would empower and enable the youth to contribute positively to their respective communities. In its development strategy, ACP DYSS aligns itself with the development policy of the target region.

Objectives

To help young people in particular, but not exclusively from ethnic minority backgrounds in the United Kingdom and the world advance in life by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals. To relieve poverty through offering various training programs, seminars, advice and mentorship.
