
Background
Youth leadership is an essential theory of youth development in which young people gain knowledge and leadership skills necessary to motivate and engage them towards building a dependable, striving, and sustainable community within the ACP regions.
ACP DYSS is geared towards working together with her youth and youth-led organizations both from ACP regions and the EU/UK, in providing, building, and supporting young people in developing and identifying their strengths and challenges. The vision of ACP DYSS is to be the conduit and development catalyst of ACP youth in Europe and ACP countries. ACP DYSS is intent on building an ACP Diaspora youth community who are professional experts, effectively working together with ACP grassroot youth organizations towards achieving self-realization of Africans and sustainable development.
Objectives:
- To be the Conduit of ACP Diaspora youth in Europe for youth leadership development activities in the ACP regions.
- To promote Africanism through re-education and re-orientation of ACP diaspora youth and grassroot on self-realization – through face-to-face or virtual presentations (“Black Education Master Class”).
- To work together with ACP diaspora youth and grassroot to encourage dependency on African efforts for sustainable development.
- To keep the ACP Diaspora youth informed about ACP regional development policy.
- To Facilitate the design and implementation of joint development interventions with ACP grass root youth organizations.
- To build the capacity of ACP Diaspora youth to respond to developmental challenges within the ACP regions through mobilizing resources and facilitate engagement of ACP Diaspora youth in development projects (Cultural festivals, conferencing/symposium of youth gathering.)
